Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your participation in the “EU Better Regulation and EU Integration” Summer School event (“Event”) organized by Impact Assessment Institute (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By registering for and attending the Event, you agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Registration and Payment
2.1. Registration for the Event is subject to availability and requires completion of the registration form and payment of the applicable registration fee.
2.2. Payment of the registration fee confirms your attendance at the Event. The registration fee is non-refundable unless otherwise specified in these Terms.
2.3. Fees and Payment:
2.3.1. The fee payment should be processed within 14 days of receiving our invoice, which will be sent to you via email. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive receipts and confirmation of your attendance at the Summer School. Please note that failure to pay the entrance fee may result in cancellation or refusal of your registration.
2.3.2. We only accept payments via bank transfer in Euro currency. Details for the bank transfer will be provided along with the tax invoice. Please be aware that we do not accept payments in cash or by cheque in any currency.
3. Event Participation
3.1. Participants must comply with all Event rules and guidelines provided by us, including instructions from Event staff and organizers.
3.2. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any participant from the Event for reasons including, but not limited to, disruptive behavior, violation of these Terms, or failure to comply with Event rules and guidelines.
4. Changes, Refunds and Cancellations policy:
4.1. We reserve the right to make changes to the Event schedule, program, speakers, or venue at any time without prior notice. We will endeavor to inform registered participants of any significant changes.
4.2. In the event of cancellation of the Event by us for any reason, registered participants will be entitled to a full refund of the registration fee.
4.3. We accept changes and cancellations only until the 31st of May 2024. Following this date, we regret to inform you that we are unable to process refunds for the entrance fee. This policy is in place due to the arrangements made with the relevant hotel.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1. All intellectual property rights related to the Event, including but not limited to presentations, materials, and content provided by speakers and organizers, are owned by us.
5.2. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or use any Event materials or content for commercial purposes without prior written consent from us.
6. Liability
6.1. We will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or in connection with your participation in the Event, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of profits, or loss of data.
6.2. Participants attend the Event at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and well-being.
7. Privacy
7.1. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By participating in the Event, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
8.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Albanian laws, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
8.2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tirana, Albania.
9. Changes to Terms
9.1. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on our website. Participants are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically for any changes or updates.

11. Monitoring of Attendance
11.1. All participants should bring along their National Identity Card (or equivalent) as Impact Assessment Institute may request for participant’s identification.
11.2. All participants should ensure that they have signed the attendance sheet on arrival; their name and signature to be the same as per ID.
12. Trainers
12.1. At Impact Assessment Institute, we prioritize the engagement of highly qualified and experienced trainers to conduct our training sessions. Each trainer selected possesses the necessary qualifications and expertise relevant to the subject matter they are delivering. Additionally, they are responsible for developing the training materials required for each day of the program.
13. Photos
13.1. Group photos may be taken during each day of the Events. These may be shared on our social media profiles. Should any participant have any objection to their photo being used, please inform the Impact Assessment Institute in advance.
14. Security
14.1. At Impact Assessment Institute, we prioritize the protection of your personal data. To ensure transparency and accountability, we clearly outline the purposes for which we process personal data in the Privacy Policy.
14.2. Your personal information is collected or received solely for the purpose of registering for the Summer School Workshop and facilitating your participation in the conference.
14.3. We are committed to the security of personal data. We take appropriate security measures to limit abuse of and unauthorized access to personal data. This ensures that only the necessary persons have access to your data, that access to the data is protected, and that our security measures are regularly reviewed.
