Background of the roundtable:
On December 5, 2024, from 11:00-13:00, the Impact Assessment Institute will collaborate with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania, in the roundtable titled “Business Integrity: Driving Sustainable Growth on the Journey to the European Union”. The event will take place at Marriott Hotel in Tirana.
This event will focus on the importance of Business Integrity and sustainable growth- essential pillars for Albania’s economic future and its journey to becoming a Member of the European Union.
This roundtable will stress the need for integrity, transparency and inclusivity of the business actors in the EU accession process.
Ms. Rozalija Vsilevska (CIPE) will give the Opening Remarks, on the importance of integrity in the Western Balkan Business Chamber Ecosystem & Networks: Enhancing Advocacy for EU Accession Efforts.
A representative from EU delegation will provide insights on the importance of integrity and inclusivity in the process of EU accession and the business chamber role with EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
Ms. Olimpija Hristova Zaevska, Elson Solutions will give a short presentation on WB6 business chamber ecosystem, network analysis, and recommendations.
The Impact Assessment Institute will be represented by Mr. Erik Akse, a Better Regulation expert and the founder of IAI, who will discuss about the need for cooperation between the administration and the business community for joining the European Union’s Single Market.
In the last part of the panel, different representatives of business associations/chambers will focus on specific challenges and opportunities of the Albania’s business chamber ecosystem and how integrity and collective action are important tools to advance in the EU path.
